01 - Mechanism

Capital in. Hashrate allocated. BTC out.

Ingot is meant to be a claim on Bitcoin production, not a yield story. The unit is customer hashrate allocation over time.

  1. 01

    Allocate capital

You would fund an account. v1 custody would start custodial, with withdrawal to self-custody as a first-class path, not a trap.

  2. 02

    Hold allocated hashrate

The unit is a share of industrial TH/s from partnered operators, not a purchase that “mines” when you swipe.

  3. 03

    Receive BTC rewards

Mining rewards would pay in BTC and show with pool attribution and on-chain payout data you can inspect.

02 - Proof over narrative

What you should be able to inspect

Phase 1 buyers compare Ingot to hosting an ASIC or holding BTC. They punish narrative. If hashrate cannot be shown, it is not sold.

Allocated TH/s

A dashboard would show the hashrate assigned to you. If that number cannot be shown, it is not sold.

Pool / worker attribution

Work should resolve to a pool and, when available, a worker, not a brand story about “our miners.”

On-chain payout data

BTC arriving should be checkable. We will not invent balances, names, or live earnings on this site.

Methodology over APY tiles

Publish how rewards are calculated, then actuals when they exist. No locked fantasy rate.

03 - Category

What Ingot is not

Readers will misread us as a cashback card unless we stop them. This is a production product, or it is nothing.

Not a debit card

Not cashback. Not spend rewards. Nothing you buy spins up an ASIC.

Not swipe-to-mine

Transaction-triggered mining at card scale is not the product.

Not a bank

Not FDIC insured. Do not analogize this to a savings account with a government backstop.

Not guaranteed yield

Rewards move with difficulty, hashprice, uptime, fees, and operator performance.

Not owned mines

Ingot does not operate owned mines. We will name operators when they are contracted.

Not live mining

Closed-beta allocate is open at app.ingotcrypto.com. Mining stays sample unless a live NiceHash feed succeeds.

05 - Economics

No promised rate

Yield, if it exists, comes from machines, power, and uptime. It is a production outcome, not a product feature.

Rewards will move with network difficulty, hashprice, uptime, fees, and partner performance. We will not quote a customer rate until Phase 1 actuals exist.

Research modeled 5–9% APY in BTC at industrial partner scale after energy, pool fees, hosting, and platform margin. That is a target to validate in Phase 1, not an offer, floor, or track record.

Ingot’s intended take is a disclosed spread or servicing fee on attributable mining revenue. Bps TBD. Not interchange.

06 - Tax and risk

Income, not cashback

Mining rewards are generally ordinary income at fair market value when received (IRS Notice 2014-21). Ingot will not market them as tax-free cashback.

Not a bank. Not FDIC insured. BTC rewards are not guaranteed. US first. KYC expected. No-KYC is not available.

Legal classification (money transmission vs investment product) is TBD with counsel. Do not read this site as “not a security” or “fully compliant.”

07 - Stage

Idea stage. Defined product. Not a card.

No mining partners, custodian, or licenses are contracted. We will name them when they are. Closed beta is the next step. Requesting access does not create an account and does not guarantee admission.
